Starting today, I'm celebrating Digital Detox Week. This week, proposed by the ad-free magazine AdBusters, I'll be limiting my usage of all forms of digital technology. My goal is to use my computer once per day and only to check personal e-mail and only use my cell phone to make calls. No social networking, no text messaging, no online shopping or gaming, only communication. I'm hoping to find a happy medium with my technology use because I know I currently spend way too much time on the computer (for one example).
